MediPedia now has a presence on YouTube

A channel playing host to ViVio’s online medical encyclopaedia has recently opened on YouTube. This channel brings together all the videos posted on the www.medipedia.be website illustrating the 66 medical conditions on which the site provides information. At present there are here around twenty videos available for viewing.

AMD now on www.medipedia.be

On 1 March, a 66th medical condition was added to www.medipedia.be, Belgium’s online encyclopaedia of diseases published by ViVio. This minisite devoted to AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration) provides clear medical information accessible to the general public on this common cause of blindness. It also includes a quiz and personal accounts, bringing a fresh and lively approach to educating people about the disease.

Grand MediPedia competition

A grand photo competition is being held on the Dutch-language Facebook page of our website www.medipedia.be. It will run until 1st April. The idea behind this photo competition, called ‘Zzz…Zalig’(Zzz … what bliss!) is simple: just put up a photo of your favourite spot for relaxing! This will make MediPedia a lot more visible on social networks.

October 2012 was a record month for the health encyclopaedia created and put online by ViVio. With 117,293 unique visitors and 447,293 pages viewed during the month of October alone, www.medipedia.be is increasingly gaining in popularity and credibility. ViVio at the Frankfurt Book Fair

For the first time ViVio presented its key collection, “The Patient’s Guides”, at the biggest book fair in Europe, the Frankfurt Book Fair, from 10 to 14 October. Our collection is already being distributed in several European countries.
